From Pastor Bob regarding tonight’s House Churches:
We are asking God to make us a more caring, comforting, and attentive church to our family members who are going through trials. We want to care like Jesus. Ask house-church groups to spend extended time in prayer, praying for those on the list and others in our midst they may know who are going through adversity.
If they ever have an opportunity to read Scripture to their/our brothers and sisters, the groups tonight may want to acquaint themselves (simply read and discuss very briefly) some of the passages listed this morning in the notes:
Psalm 23; Psalm 63:3-8; Isaiah 43:2,3a (God promises to be with us.); Romans 8:16,17 (Our present sufferings are connected to future, eternal rewards and blessings; so we trust Him and His loving purposes when we don’t understand.); II Corinthians 1:3-7 (As His sufferings abound in us, so He has promised us His comfort will also be abundant… so we are comforted and able to comfort others who are going through trouble.); II Corinthians 11:7-18; Hebrews 4:14-16…2 great passages to encourage.
You may call Office this week if you need addresses to send a card or two.
